All Sanatanis know that
Ramo Vigrahavan Dharma
means Shree Ram is himself Dharma. Whatever Shree Ram Chandra did in his life was Dharma. But today, many uninformed people are targeting Shree Ram, claiming he wrongly killed Shambhuka. These people have never read Hindu Shastra.
Let's debunk this. First, in Treta Yuga, Shudras weren’t allowed to perform tapasya, as their duties were different—just like an engineer can’t be a doctor.
Now, let’s see what the Ramayana itself says. According to the Uttarakanda of the Ramayana, when Shree Ram asked Shambhuka who he was, Shambhuka replied,
I am a Shudra. I want to conquer Devaloka and go to Swarga with this body. I want to be devata .That’s why I am performing this tapasya.
From Shambhuka’s own words, it’s clear that he wasn’t doing a general tapasya; it was different. That’s why the son of a Brahmin died. Shree Ram was Swayam Narayan; he immediately understood Shambhuka’s intention and killed him.
He was an asura reborn and wanted to steal position of Rudra as MBTN(Mahabharata tatparya nirnaya)
in Padma Puran Shree Rama called his behaviour Aasurya
